Restaurant Recommendations
 
Prosser has had several fine restaurants for many years but many new ones have recently opened.  We have listed everything below, and the contact information if you’d like to make a reservation.   Or, call or email us with your request and we’d be happy to make your reservations for you!

 
The Barn Motor Inn at 490 Wine Country Road, on right as you are coming into Prosser from I-82, exit 80.  509-786-1131  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.  Reservations not usually important.  We like to eat in the bar.  It’s one of the oldest restaurants in the Valley, and has consistently great home style food at low prices.  Best cobb salad on earth!  Good wine list, and featured wines.

 Bern’s Tavern at 618 6th Ave, has typical tavern food, and great beers.  Live music on Wednesdays usually, and some weekends.   

 The Blue Goose at 306 7th Street, downtown Prosser.  509-786-1774.  This is an oldie but a goodie.  Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Closed Sundays  and Mondays.  Excellent food and wine list.   Moderate prices.  Reservations recommended on weekend evenings. 

Café Villa   602 7th Street  509-786-3574 Mon-Sat.  Espresso, salads, Panini, muffins, bagels for breakfast and lunch.  Full dinners, good wines.  Dine in, or take out for picnics.  .  

Common Grounds Restaurant and Wine Bar  364 Chardonnay Ave.  509-786-3840  Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner available.  Full service drive thru espresso too.  Call for reservations and to learn about live music on weekends. 

Desert Wind Winery at 2258 Wine Country Road (straight across Wine Country Road from HWY 22 Intersection) has a beautiful new upscale restaurant called La Mesa.  Open Thurs-Sat.  Good food, expensive.  Has a Thurs. night small plate special.  Reservations recommended and their number is 509-786-7277.  **Fall and Winter of '08 will offer tapas only Th-Sat. 

 El Caporal Mexican Food on the corner of 6th & Meade downtown.  Excellent Mexican food and cocktails at great prices.  No reservations needed.  Open 7 days.

El Rancho Alegre  364 Chardonnay Ave.  509-786-3558  Locally owned family restaurant features authentic Mexican food from family recipes.  Lunch specials. 

Golden Horse   108 Merlot Drive  509-786-4910  Chinese lunch and dinner specials, carryout, banquet facility, lounge. 

 Golden Yan  1217 Meade  Ave.  509-786-3902  Great food and prices.  Chinese and American cuisine.  Dine in or take out.  Daily specials.  Downtown location. 

 Keno’s at 615 Sixth St., downtown Prosser.  509-786-2580. Breakfast and lunch daily and Friday night prime rib dinners.  Reservations not normally needed.  Recently nicely updated, good food, good prices.  

 Papa Tud’s Pizzio    1232 Meade   509-786-2363   Take out and delivery ONLY.  Excellent pizza delivered to the front door (or pool patio)!  

 Picazo 7-Seventeen at 717 6th  Ave.,  509-786-1116.  Open Tues - Sat.  Reservations recommended. Beautiful restaurant in downtown Prosser.  They advertise it as “Local fare with a Spanish flair ”.  Great food and wine with moderate to expensive prices.  Open for lunch, early dinner specials from 4:00-5:30, followed by dinner until closing.  Has a great bar too.  Live jazz many weekends.  

 Pizzeria Venti, downtown on Meade Ave, right next to the restored Princess Theatre.  786-1220  Does not take reservations.  Open for espresso mornings.  The beautiful Del Vino's wine bar with great appetizers is open Wednesday through Saturday nights.  Dinner is not being served at this time to allow for their catering business.  Modeled after a Tuscan Village, they're connected to the Princess Theatre, so check for activities there too. 

 Shy’s Pizza Connection  1306 Meade Ave.  509-786-4095    Family style pizza restaurant, with pizza, chicken, salads, ice cream.   Tues. nite all you can eat buffet!

Whitstran Brew Pub  1427 Wine Country Road  509-786-4WBC   Enjoy craft-brewed ales with excellent traditional pub foods in a family friendly environment.

Becky’s Coffee Corner at 1120 Meade  509-786-0747, sandwiches, soup, cookies and muffins; has espresso and blended drinks available early and movie rentals late.  

Davy's Burger Ranch  1305 Meade Ave.  509-786-2720  Great food and hand dipped ice cream. 

Mustang Grill 602 7th St.  509-786-3574  100% Beef Burgers, Chicken, Chili Dogs

6th Street Coffee  713 6th, downtown Prosser.   509-786-2269  Esresso, tea, smoothies, lunch and desserts.  WiFi, drive-thru.  Some evening events. 

Speedway Deli out of town on Wine Country Road and Old Inland Empire. Each of these has coffee and deli lunches.  

Starbucks  Just off exit 80 on Merlot Drive and Wine Country Road

Also on Wine Country Road is Jen’s Java Hut drive through coffee.  

 Also near Exit 80 you will find many fast food restaurants including McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Subway.
