There is so much to do in Prosser that it's hard to know where to begin, but we'll begin right at the Sunset House.  Bring your trekking shoes, and head down our driveway and immediately head up into the Horse Heaven Hills.  After a block, you'll not pass another house!  Wind your way up to the top for an incredible view and an excellent workout.  Take our black Labs, Emmy & Bogey with you and watch them bound endlessly over sagebrush. Be back before our 9:00 breakfast!

Or bring your bikes and have your choice of climbing loops, or head out onto miles and miles of low traffic flat roads.  Visit some wineries!  Just save some energy to climb back up to the Sunset House!

Got a canoe or kayaks?  Paddle the Yakima at sunset, it's peaceful and beautiful as the whole river turns into a spectacular glowing pink ribbon.  Boat launch is close by.

Tennis anyone?  Just below the Sunset House are 4 lighted tennis courts

Serious swimmers may want to venture the few blocks to our 40 meter city pool.

Prosser's 35 wineries could keep you busy for days.  Take your time and enjoy each of them, as they are all unique and world class.   Many of these wineries offer special event dinners and live entertainment at times.  Take a guided wine tour while you're here.  Visit Elegant Wine Country Limousine for more information.

Shopping anyone?  Did you know that Chukkar Cherries was started right here in Prosser?  These delectable treats are shipped worldwide, and you can taste them all right here in their hometown tasting room!  Venture across the street to Bonnie's Vine & Gift for a fantastic wine selection and an eclectic assortment of wine paraphernalia, gifts, jewelry, antiques, and more.  We've got several more wonderful gift stores with too many great items to mention and great hospitality too.  Don't miss them!

Prosser is home to a top notch historic museum.  You will want to allow plenty of time when you visit to see every inch of this beautiful museum.

Art is your passion?  You may find your favorite artist featured at one of our gift shops or wineries.  It seems that wherever there is wine there is art.

If you're coming to Prosser for a family reunion or wedding there may be kids in town with you.  Prosser has a beautiful outdoor city pool and regular swim times with lifeguards.  Just across the park is a state of the art skatepark, built in 2007.

Spa services abound.  Massage, facial and pedicure services can be arranged.

Live Theatre?  After sitting empty for over 30 years the Princess Theatre on Meade has been lovingly restored.  Live music and theatre are presented often, along with movies on certain nights.   The Princess is also one of the main venues during the annual Hot Jazz Bash in April .

All this fun creates hunger, and lucky for us we have an abundance of great restaurants to fit every taste and budget.  You'll have your choice of fine cuisine and often live music to go along with it.  Or, for groups of 8 or more, hire a private chef for a surprisingly reasonable price and create your own special wine paired dinner to enjoy in the dining room or on the patio at the Sunset House.  For information on a chef dinner contact LuAnne Wiles, executive chef at 509-439-1085.  Or visit: www.thefoodguru.com.

Remember to check out the "Events in Prosser" page for a listing of the many events that take place in Prosser year round.  Prosser is known as a pleasant place with pleasant people, and while some may initially snicker at that, it is TRUE beyond words!
